CryptoPunks Maintains Dominance in NFT Sales Despite Speculation of Value Decline

CryptoPunks has achieved a significant milestone, leading CryptoSlam's daily non-fungible token (NFT) sales chart with a notable US$1.29 million on Wednesday.

CryptoPunks, a collection of 10,000 unique digital collectibles, has continued its strong performance in the non-fungible token (NFT) market, topping CryptoSlam’s daily NFT sales chart with US$1.29 million on Wednesday.
This marks the third consecutive day that CryptoPunks has led the sales rankings, highlighting the sustained demand for these iconic NFTs.
Overall, Wednesday’s NFT market saw a total of US$9.6 million in sales across various collections, with 100,866 transactions recorded. Notably, CryptoPunks had 15 transactions involving 11 unique buyers and 13 sellers, with an average sale price of US$86,582.
According to CryptoSlam, the top collections by sales volume on Wednesday were as follows:
1. CryptoPunks: US$1.29 million
2. Bored Ape Yacht Club: US$861,724.21
3. Mythos Chain’s DMarket: US$738,879
4. Pudgy Penguins: US$587,545
5. Guild of Guardians Heroes: US$464,522
6. Mutant Ape Yacht Club: US$433,094
Among the top NFT sales, investor Deepak Thapliyal sold CryptoPunk #5822, which was previously valued at US$24 million. The NFT was reportedly sold for around 5,000 Ether (US$12.8 million), suggesting a potential loss on the initial purchase price.
However, the exact sale price and the buyer's identity were not disclosed in the public record.
In terms of blockchain performance, Ethereum (ETH), the platform hosting CryptoPunks, led all blockchains with US$6.46 million in sales on Wednesday.
