In other developments, altcoins also showed strength, particularly AAVE, which surged by 20.64% to US$265.49, making it one of the top-performing tokens today.
Chainlink (LINK) saw a 6.12% rise to US$16.23, and XRP experienced a modest 0.67% increase, trading at US$2.38.
Market sentiment remains in ‘Greed’ territory with a Fear & Greed Index score of 68, while total daily trading volume showed a 2.03% increase, reaching US$136.26 billion.
Among trending tokens on decentralised exchanges, AI-themed SKYAI and meme coin Fartcoin posted notable gains, with the latter climbing 5.07% against SOL.
The Altcoin Season Index stands at 23, indicating that Bitcoin continues to outpace most altcoins in performance, although select projects are showing strong upside.
