Crypto Now Matters to 49% of US Voters Across Both Parties
Oct 03, 2024 at 09:09 pm
With Grayscale’s survey shedding light on voter attitudes towards crypto, we can see how it’s influencing political choices.

Cryptocurrency is having a major impact on the 2024 election, with a recent Grayscale survey showing that nearly half of voters are considering a candidate's stance on digital assets when making their decision.
The survey, which was conducted among 1,000 registered voters in September, found that 42% of crypto holders believe the Republican Party is supporting positive crypto policies, while 45% say the same about the Democratic Party.
However, there is still a lack of clear perception among non-crypto owners, with 34% remaining undecided on which party is more pro-crypto.
Interestingly, there has been a shift in favorability towards the Republican Party since May, with more potential voters now viewing the GOP as a better ally for digital asset users.
Financial privacy is also a key concern for voters, with 34% believing the Republican Party is better at protecting financial privacy for investors, compared to 32% who trust the Democratic Party.
Some of the test participants expressed this concern, and this may be because of their age or gender. They state that men are more likely to side with the Republican agenda, while Millennials are for the Democrats.
Both parties have received high marks from crypto holders on their crypto policies, with 42% approving of the Republican Party and 45% approving of the Democratic Party.
Overall, the survey highlights the growing importance of crypto in political discourse, with candidates now needing to pay attention to this emerging asset class if they want to secure votes from this expanding demographic.
A notable part of the electorate considers this sector as the future of finance, so politicians should pay attention to these shifting sentiments.
