Crypto loves a comeback story, and none seems quite as tantalizing as a new Solana Price surge
Apr 29, 2025 at 06:31 am
Following weeks of lateral drift, the Solana Price retorted above a crucial trendline, sparking chatter of a grind into the 2021 high
Crypto has always been known for its comeback stories, and as momentum traders dust off their triple-bottom patterns, one Y-axis smash is still in the minds of many: Can Solana smash its all-time high?
While the layer-1 is generating plenty of buzz, a much smaller project—Remittix—is generating real-world use case news under the radar. With sentiment shifting quickly, investors have one question: Where is the next asymmetrical payout hiding?
Solana Price Takes The Center Stage
Following weeks of lateral drift, the Solana price retorted above a crucial trendline, sparking chatter of a grind into the 2021 high. On-chain metrics by CoinMarketCap reveal funding rates turning positive as open interest increases, a combination that frequently foreshadows attempts at breaks. Relative-strength gauges meanwhile float around neutral, providing bulls lots of upside fuel before oversold conditions flash.
A near-term challenge is liquidity: Intraday volume has narrowed to $1.95 billion, about 27 percent below last week’s pace. But Galaxy Digital analysts contend that thin liquidity is a double-edged sword; a relatively small amount of new capital can send the Solana price meaningfully higher when order books are thin. If the buyers continue to push, a quick run to the psychological $200 level is still within the realm of possibility.
The future Solana price catalyst might be corporate treasuries
Macro bulls explain DeFi Development Corp.’s strategy to invest $1 billion in SOL over time—a playbook copied from MicroStrategy’s Bitcoin stash. If others follow, the Solana price has both narrative and demand on its side: SOL matures from trader token to treasury reserve.
Outside of treasuries, the capacity of the chain is also drawing in new use cases. Worldpay’s recent on-chain settlement of USDG on Solana rails reduces fees for merchants by a fraction and demonstrates that regular payments no longer need Visa’s network. Should even a portion of those on-chain settlements move, some analysts envision a self-sustaining fee-burn mechanism that limits supply and cements a higher Solana price floor.
Remittix: the low-cap player with real cash flow
As Solana’s ecosystem buzzes, Remittix (RTX) is expanding from the other direction—connecting crypto to fiat banking. The system allows users to send BTC, ETH, XRP, or actually SOL to a recipient’s bank account within minutes. That end-to-end off-ramp is the mass-market killer feature which everyone has been searching for, and it has already seen over $14.6 million in volume.
RTX tokenomics mirror BNB’s genesis. A portion of each transfer fee is paid to stakers, and an automatic burn decreases the 529 million-token float over time. At just $0.0757, bulls positioned RTX as “utility with torque”: as volumes of transactions rise, yield expands and circulating supply decreases, a twin tailwind most payment coins do not have.
Use-case anecdotes are accumulating. A Kenyan freelancer now sends USDC over Solana through Remittix and has shillings in her M-Pesa account by dinner time. A German e-tailer takes XRP at check-out and the next business day sees euros—no exchange hassles, no charge-backs. Each success story is contributing to the revenue stream enriching RTX stakers.
Which play has more potential?
Pure price players might still enjoy the headline moves of the Solana price, especially with institutional treasuries playing with the asset. But risk-adjusted minds observe that a 10x move for a $77 billion behemoth needs Herculean flows, while a low-cap like RTX can provide the same multiples on adoption alone. The choice might boil down to thesis: trustless high-speed smart contracts or frictionless crypto-to-fiat payouts.
Importantly, these are not binary bets. Remittix already routes some of its volume across the Solana network as fees are microscopic, so every increase in Solana further enhances RTX’s cost advantage. Rising Remittix volumes, in turn, provide higher staking rewards, some of which get cycled back onto Solana as users replenish wallets for future transfers. The flywheel is slowly gaining traction.
Final Word: Ride Both Waves—Speed and Utility Are the New Kings of Crypto
Whether the next mega rally crowns the Solana price with a fresh all-time high or shines the spotlight on a nimble upstart like Remittix, the market is rewarding projects that marry speed with tangible utility. Solana has the throughput and headlines for the time being, and Remittix is cashing in on those raw strengths in consumers’ wallets instantly.
Smart investors might decide that the best move is to ride both waves—and let actual adoption dictate which rush arrives first.
