Crypto had a great start to 2025, thanks in large part to President Donald Trump. Among the highlights:
* Bitwise filed for a Dogecoin ETF, making it the first financial institution to bring a DOGE-centric ETF to the U.S. market.
* Osprey Funds and Rex Shares filed for seven separate ETFs with the SEC, including a DOGE ETF, BONK ETF and a TRUMP memecoin ETF.
* The filings come as memecoins continue to perform well, with a basket of 28 memecoins drastically outperforming Bitcoin and Ethereum last year, according to the GMCI Meme tracker.
