Crypto is hot again, and four names in particular are making the rounds: VeChain, Kaspa, AAVE and Remittix

Crypto is heating up again, and four names in particular are making the rounds: VeChain, Kaspa, AAVE and Remittix. Each one’s impressing investors—here’s what’s behind the buzz and why these projects are climbing the ranks right now.
VeChain keeps pushing forward
In 2025, VeChain is making big moves. The VeChain Renaissance upgrade, rolling out this year, is revamping tokenomics, staking rewards, and EVM compatibility to open the door for wider adoption and smoother integration. Most recently, VeChain announced a partnership with WanChain to launch its first-ever cross-chain bridge.
Added legitimacy is also putting VeChain on the map. Dana White, the UFC president, has been added to VeChain’s advisory board, while the network has been granted a MiCAR license in Europe to become one of the first enterprise blockchains to do so.

The VET token remains well below its December 2024 high of $0.077, at $0.028 today, but the upcoming Stargate upgrade, alongside these developments, could send it higher in the coming weeks.
Kaspa becomes the fastest PoW coin around
Kaspa’s ambition to scale Proof-of-Work (PoW) without the baggage is attracting attention this month. On May 5th, the Crescendo hard fork went live, bumping Kaspa’s throughput from 1 to 10 blocks per second. That’s a serious move toward real scalability and makes it the fastest pure PoW coin around, boosted by a full code rewrite from Golang to Rust.
This follows the DAGKNIGHT upgrade, which dropped in January, that gave the network stronger security and better efficiency with support for up to 50% Byzantine fault tolerance. It also ditched fixed latency and made Kaspa’s system more flexible, even under stress.

The KAS token has responded favorably since the Crescendo hard fork, rising over 37% from a low of $0.088 on May 6th to $0.128 just six days later. Now at $0.11, traders are targeting January’s $0.154 high next.
AAVE is dominating the DeFi scene
AAVE has rocketed higher in recent weeks, up around 48% over the past 14 days and 75%+ in the past 30. Analysts have put AAVE’s rise down to several key developments supporting the DeFi protocol.
For one, use of its GHO stablecoin is gaining momentum, with its supply jumping from 49 million to 220 million between April 2024 and April 2025. The AAVE protocol has also hit a record total value locked (TVL) on-chain, currently at $24.8 billion, making it responsible for 20% of all DeFi TVL.
There’s also the GENIUS Act, which has helped make the US regulatory environment less hostile to DeFi and stablecoins. Now, after smashing past $250 again, some expect AAVE to hit above $350 in the coming weeks.
Remmitix is the token that makes crypto spendable
Remmitix is a new project that makes crypto spendable, straight from wallet to bank. It’s designed for speed and simplicity, letting users convert 40+ cryptocurrencies into fiat and send funds to any global bank account with a flat fee and instant settlement. That means what’s sent is exactly what’s received.
Businesses can also plug in with Remmitix Pay, accept crypto from customers, and settle in fiat. There’s full support for 50+ crypto pairs and 30+ fiat currencies, plus a merchant dashboard to control everything.
Remmitix is offering something that even its big-name competitors like Wise, Coinbase, and Stripe don’t provide: an accessible crypto-to-fiat off-ramp. And with a $194 trillion cross-border payment market to tackle, momentum is building fast around the RTX presale.
So far, it’s raised over $15.2 million, backed by a $250k Gleam competition. It’s currently priced at a bargain $0.075781, with prices set to rise imminently as it hits the next stage.
4 trending cryptos to watch now
VeChain is building real-world tools, Kaspa’s scaling fast, AAVE is levelling up DeFi, and Remmitix is making crypto practical for payments. Each brings something different to the table, but they’re all hitting their stride this month. These could be the next four most profitable crypto
