Crypto platform Phantom has hired Daniel Harrison as VP, heading up comms where he will be the first person to take on the role at the company.

Harrison joins Phantom after spending nearly four years at Coinbase, most recently as VP, comms and culture where he was responsible for leading comms strategy and execution across the US and Asia.

At Coinbase, Harrison oversaw comms for several initiatives including the company’s IPO in 2021 and its expansion into several new markets. He also played a key role in managing the company’s culture and internal comms.

Prior to Coinbase, Harrison spent more than six years at Intercontinental Exchange (ICE) where he was responsible for global comms strategy and execution across a variety of businesses and initiatives.

He began his career in London working in public affairs and comms for several technology companies.

Announcing the hire, Phantom said that Harrison will be a "critical addition" to the team as the company continues to grow and expand.

“We are thrilled to welcome Daniel to Phantom as VP, Comms, a role that will be instrumental in furthering our narrative and amplifying our voice in the Web3 space,” said Sebastien Grasset, co-founder and CEO of Phantom.

“Daniel brings a wealth of experience in leading and managing high-performing teams and executing strategic comms programs to this new role.

“With his expertise in navigating complex issues and engaging diverse stakeholders, he will be a valuable asset to our team as we continue to build Phantom and expand into new markets.”
