Coinbase Pledges Over $70 Million to Support Pro-Crypto Candidates in 2023-2024 Election Cycle

Coinbase Donates $25 Million to Pro-Crypto Super PAC for 2026 Midterms

Coinbase recently donated another $25 million to Fairshake, a pro-crypto Super PAC (Political Action Committee). This brings Coinbase's total support for pro-crypto candidates in the 2023-2024 election cycle to over $70 million.

Coinbase is the largest institutional donor to Fairshake, having donated its first $25 million in March 2023. The PAC has received over $204 million in this election cycle, which is very pivotal in determining the US political climate, which would in turn make or mar the crypto industry.

Coinbase CEO, Brian Armstrong, announced that this latest contribution will help the PAC to elect pro-crypto candidates in the 2026 midterms. The 2026 US mid-term elections will be held on Nov. 3, 2026, and will comprise all the 435 US House of Representatives seats and 33 of the 100 Senate seats for the US Congress, 39 state and territorial gubernatorial positions, and other local and state elections.

Coinbase has expressed its commitment to disrupting “the destructive efforts of anti-crypto politicians in DC.” By voting in pro-crypto senators and ousting anti-crypto lawmakers like Elizabeth Warren and her cronies, the industry can set the groundwork for an administration that favors crypto.

In addition to supporting Fairshake PAC, Coinbase will also help its affiliate—Stand with Crypto, a crypto advocacy group mobilizing the crypto community to participate directly in the legislative process, in “more than doubling its current army of advocates ahead of the Midterm Elections to 4 million strong.”

Stand With Crypto amassed over 1.8 million advocates in just one year, many of whom are actively learning about candidates and getting ready to vote.

“The stakes are too high for us to stand on the sidelines, and that’s why we at Coinbase are proud to help do our part,” said Coinbase.

“We’re committed to remaining a strong force to ensure that the voices of crypto consumers and innovators alike continue to be heard—in the next election cycle and for years to come.”

The crypto industry has raised over $206 million in this election cycle as it seeks to take center stage in the November elections.
