CMC Launchpad Expands to Offer Early-Stage Crypto Projects Visibility to 70M Monthly Users
May 16, 2025 at 10:30 am
On May 15, 2025, CoinMarketCap announced CMC Launch, a dedicated launchpad for crypto projects yet to reach their Token Generation Event (TGE).
CoinMarketCap has announced the launch of CMC Launch, a dedicated launchpad for crypto projects yet to reach their Token Generation Event (TGE). The feature is now live and accessible on the main platform.
CMC Launch will give selected teams visibility in front of over 70 million monthly users. These projects must pass platform checks and complete required tasks, including quests and wallet eligibility steps tied to airdrop access. All listed projects are still in the early stage and have not yet launched tokens.
The onboarding structure includes wallet filters and task completion to help identify users for future token distributions.
Aster DEX Listed First on CoinMarketCap Launchpad
The first project listed on CMC Launch is Aster DEX, a decentralized perpetual exchange that runs on both BNB Chain and Arbitrum. The project is backed by YZi Labs and has formed a PancakeSwap partnership.
Aster offers two trading modes. Simple Mode enables one-click leveraged trades up to 1001x, while Pro Mode is for experienced users and features advanced trading tools. The exchange does not require Know-Your-Customer (KYC) checks and supports non-custodial trading.
Users can earn Au points by engaging in Pro Mode or holding tokens like ALP, USDF, or approved LP tokens. These points contribute to future eligibility for AST token airdrops.
CMC Launchpad Includes Wallet Screening and Task Quests
CoinMarketCap Launchpad leverages task-based onboarding to verify engagement. Each project's listing path includes quests that must be completed. Additionally, wallet filtering is used to track user engagement and eligibility for token events.
Only pre-TGE projects can apply to be listed on the launchpad. The goal is to provide exposure and facilitate growth before tokens become tradable. CoinMarketCap did not disclose how many projects it plans to list next but confirmed that all entries must meet its internal standards.
Rush, CEO of CoinMarketCap, highlighted the importance of connecting early projects with the platform's active users.
"As the ‘Home Of Crypto,’ we’re thrilled to welcome Aster as our first CMC Launch project and introduce them to our global community," said Rush.
CoinMarketCap has confirmed that CMC Launch will continue operating as a main feature of the platform. Only teams that complete the review process will qualify for listing on the launchpad.
