In a recent development, Ripple Chief Legal Officer Stuart Alderoty expressed optimism that the SEC, under Paul Atkins, might reconsider its enforcement actions against crypto firms — including Ripple.
Speaking at XRP Community Day 2025, Alderoty highlighted the SEC’s approach of regulating through lawsuits, emphasizing that it’s not the right way to move forward. He noted that there’s a real chance the SEC could walk away from its case against Ripple in 2025.
