Chainlink Data Streams Arrive on Avalanche, Targeting DeFi媲ing Speed and Security
Jun 28, 2024 at 07:05 pm
Chainlink, Avalanche, and GMX have announced the launch of Chainlink Data Streams on the Avalanche mainnet, according to a press release shared with BSCN.

Chainlink, Avalanche, and GMX have jointly announced the launch of Chainlink Data Streams on the Avalanche mainnet, as revealed in a press release shared with BSCN.This integration marks a significant advancement for the Avalanche ecosystem, introducing the capability to leverage low-latency market data and automated execution for enhancing the speed, throughput, and user experience of DeFi products on Avalanche. This enhancement is designed to rival the performance of centralized exchanges (CEXs) while maintaining the robust security guarantees inherent in decentralized finance (DeFi) protocols.
Highlighting the groundbreaking potential of Data Streams, Johann Eid, Chief Business Officer at Chainlink Labs, stated:
"By offering unmatched speed and resiliency, Data Streams enable DeFi protocols to provide ultra-fast, high-throughput products while ensuring the security guarantees of onchain finance."
Chainlink Data Streams is a fully decentralized and scalable solution for delivering high-quality, tamper-proof data to smart contracts. This capability is crucial for DeFi protocols that require real-time and accurate market data to power critical financial use cases, such as derivatives trading, lending, and insurance.
With the launch of Data Streams on Avalanche, DeFi protocols can now integrate this advanced data service to enhance the performance and user experience of their products. GMX, a decentralized perpetual exchange, is among the first launch partners to integrate Data Streams. This integration is expected to further bolster the speed and efficiency of GMX V2, ultimately benefiting traders and liquidity providers within the Avalanche community.
Commenting on the integration, Coinflip, a core contributor at GMX, expressed optimism, stating:
"Chainlink Data Streams has significantly enhanced GMX V2's speed and resiliency, benefiting traders and liquidity providers in the Avalanche ecosystem."
Chainlink's recent collaborations also include enabling RD Technologies to launch the Hong Kong dollar stablecoin (HKDR) with cross-chain interoperability via Chainlink's protocol. This integration aims to enhance the accessibility and transparency of HKDR across blockchain platforms.
Moreover, Gnosis integrated Chainlink's Cross-Chain Interoperability Protocol (CCIP) and Automation on its mainnet, further expanding the utility of Chainlink's services for developers.
