Major centralized crypto exchanges witnessed a surge in spot trading volume in March, with a staggering 134.1% increase from February, resulting in a cumulative volume of $2.48 trillion. Binance dominated the scene, recording a volume of $1.15 trillion, more than seven times Coinbase's $159.17 billion. KuCoin had the most significant percentage gain, rising by 261.6%, while Bitfinex had the lowest volume with $17.46 billion. These figures indicate a growing interest in spot trading amidst the ongoing bull market.

Major centralized cryptocurrency exchanges witnessed a remarkable increase in spot trading volume during March, propelled by the ongoing bullish sentiment in the crypto market.

According to a report compiled by prominent Chinese reporter Colin Wu, the average spot trading volume for March soared by an impressive 134% compared to February figures. Meanwhile, the derivatives market volume experienced a significant 47% gain month-over-month.

Binance, the leading trading platform, emerged as the frontrunner in terms of volume. Binance recorded an astonishing $1,149,992,388,732 in March, representing a 139.6% surge from the $479.95 billion recorded in February.

Trailing Binance was Upbit, which recorded over $217.92 billion in spot trading volume, a substantial 197.9% increase from $73.14 billion in February. Coinbase, the largest US-based trading platform, ranked fourth with $159.17 billion in spot trading volume for March, reflecting a 132.9% gain from the $68.32 billion witnessed the previous month.

Notably, Binance's $1.15 trillion volume dwarfed Coinbase's figures by more than sevenfold. While Binance dominated in spot volume, KuCoin achieved the most remarkable percentage change. KuCoin experienced a staggering 261.6% gain in volume, reaching $118.28 billion in March compared to $32.71 billion in February.

Bitfinex had the lowest spot trading volume for March, recording $17.46 billion. Crypto.com exhibited the lowest percentage change, with a modest 44.5% gain to $51.93 billion from $35.93 billion in February.

Cumulatively, centralized exchanges witnessed a $2.48 trillion volume for March, a significant 134.1% increase from the $1.06 trillion recorded in February.

The surge in trading activity highlights the growing adoption of cryptocurrencies and increasing investor confidence in the digital asset industry. It also underscores the dominance of centralized exchanges in the crypto market, although decentralized alternatives continue to gain traction.
