Cardano (ADA) Continues to Demonstrate Resilience, Boasts Over 1,300 Projects and Processes More Than 94 Million Transactions
Jul 23, 2024 at 10:18 pm
Cardano (ADA) continues to demonstrate resilience within the blockchain space, boasting over 1,300 projects and processing more than 94 million transactions. Despite a recent decline in Total Value Locked (TVL), which has fallen to $239 million from nearly $500 million earlier this year, the network remains robust and vibrant.

Cardano (ADA) continues to show strength in the blockchain world with over 1,300 projects and 94 million transactions processed. Despite a recent decline, Total Value Locked (TVL) remains at $239 million, down from nearly $500 million earlier this year.
Growing Adoption and Project Development
According to the latest report from Input Output Global (IOG), Cardano’s TVL currently stands at 548.4 million ADA, with 10.2 million native tokens minted across 146,328 token policies.
The platform has also seen a significant number of Plutus scripts, totaling 67,950, which facilitate the development of decentralized applications (dApps) and smart contracts. This growth in project development highlights Cardano’s expanding ecosystem, which continues to attract developers and users alike.
Preparations for the Chang Upgrade
As Cardano gears up for the anticipated Chang upgrade, expected in August 2024, preparations are well underway. The IOG team is focusing on extensive testing to ensure a smooth transition to the Conway era.
The Lace team is preparing to release version 1.14 of their wallet software, while the Hydra team is refining specifications to enhance scalability.
Additionally, users are encouraged to update to Cardano node v9.0.0 to align with upcoming changes, as a hard fork combinator event will occur once nearly 75% of stake pool operators (SPOs) have upgraded.
Cardano’s Market Trends and Future Outlook
Cardano has seen its TVL decrease recently, as reported by DefiLlama, but it has still managed to attract $0.4 million in inflows for the second week in a row. Furthermore, Cardano’s native token, ADA, has experienced a small downturn, dropping a little more than 1% in the past 24 hours to reach $0.4208.
The recent increase in market activity is a clear indication of the growing trend in digital asset investment products. Inflows of $1.35 billion were recorded last week, contributing to a total of $3.2 billion over the past three weeks.
In conclusion, while Cardano’s TVL may have experienced a downturn, its ecosystem is thriving with a plethora of projects and ongoing upgrades. As the community anticipates the Chang upgrade, the focus remains on ensuring the network’s continued growth and stability in the competitive blockchain landscape.
