How to Find Captain Farrell's Coin in Pixelshire

Early in the game, Captain Farrell will ask you to find one of his coins. The game does say you can dig for treasure, but there aren’t really any dig spots near Captain Farrell, and you might end up on the shore, confused.

After you talk to Captain Farrell, go to the northeast side near the trees and below the mayor’s house. You’ll see some clumps of dirt on the grass.

Equip your shovel and make sure the leftmost icon is set so you dig down instead of building up. Shovel the clump of dirt, and it should give you some items.

I found Captain Farrell’s Coin in one of the clumps of dirt near the trees. Check the image for its exact location. If you still haven’t found Captain Farrell’s Coin, it is possible that its spawn could be randomly generated, so you can roam around and dig up more clumps of dirt until you get it.

You’ll also use this Shovel in more tasks going forward, like creating a pond, so don’t overuse the Shovel once you have it. Tools have durability, and you don’t want to break them too soon. While you can craft or buy them again, you might as well finish the early quests first because your resources are quite limited.

This is also a good reason why you should always keep some stock of wood, planks, and other basic materials for crafting the most basic tools.
