The filing was submitted Wednesday, just around two weeks after Canary filed for a spot Litecoin (LTC) ETF, driving the digital currency's price higher.

Solana (SOL) price has been rallying in recent days, and now a new filing could see the digital asset gain even more attention from the mainstream finance world.
Solana ETF Filing Details
Canary, a crypto-focused financial services firm, filed for a Solana (SOL) exchange-traded fund (ETF) on Thursday, according to a recent report from ETF Express. The filing comes just a couple of weeks after Canary filed for a Litecoin (LTC) ETF, which drove the digital currency’s price higher.
The ETF will track the performance of the Solana Token Index (SOLTI), which is designed to measure the performance of the largest and most liquid Solana tokens.
The index will be composed of at least 85% Solana tokens, and the remaining 15% will be allocated to other digital assets that are pegged to the Solana token.
The ETF will be listed on the Cboe BZX Exchange, and Canary will serve as the ETF sponsor, authorized participant, and index provider.
Solana Price Analysis
At the time of writing, Solana is trading at $23.03, up 4.31% over the past 24 hours and up 13.03% over the past seven days.
The digital asset’s fourteen-day relative strength index (RSI) is at 63.63, indicating that SOL is within the overbought territory.
Meanwhile, Solana’s fourteen-day moving average convergence divergence (MACD) is positive, with a MACD value of $0.73000006 and a signal line value of $0.6833329.
Solana’s recent performance has been impressive, especially considering the bearish trend that has impacted the broader cryptocurrency market in recent months.
The digital asset has managed to maintain a high level of user activity and developer interest, which has contributed to its strong price performance.
As the dust settles on another round of filings for cryptocurrency ETFs, it will be interesting to see how the regulatory landscape continues to evolve in the coming months.
