Bybit Pay Goes Live in Brazil Offering Crypto Payment Services

Crypto exchange Bybit has announced the integration of Bybit Pay in the Brazilian market. The service will allow users to make instant transactions between Brazilian fiat currency and crypto through the integration with the PIX payment system.

The launch comes as part of the exchange's strategy to unify traditional and digital payment systems, catering to the growing demand for convenient and efficient payment methods. Bybit Pay will be available to users who have completed the exchange's verification process.

Users will be able to perform payments in QR code format using both digital currency and fiat money. Bybit Pay will support multiple currencies, including Brazilian reais (BRL) and popular cryptos such as Bitcoin (BTC), Ethereum (ETH), Tether (USDT), and USD Coin (USDC).

The platform will be accessible through the Bybit app and website, offering users in Brazil a high degree of financial flexibility.

Commenting on the launch, Joan Han, Sales and Marketing Director at Bybit, said:

“Bybit Pay is designed to bridge traditional and digital payments effortlessly. By leveraging PIX QR codes and multi-currency support, Bybit Pay offers a seamless, secure, and flexible solution tailored to the evolving needs of our users.”

The exchange's expansion into Brazil follows its recent announcement that it will cease withdrawals and custodial services in France due to regulatory challenges.

Bybit had previously obtained registration with the Autorité des Marchés Financiers (AMF) to operate in the country, but the exchange stated that it encountered difficulties in meeting the regulator's requirements for the保管人.

The integration of Bybit Pay with PIX is expected to provide users with a convenient and secure way to manage funds across traditional and digital systems. The platform will combine fiat and cryptocurrency wallet functionality, enabling users to perform deposits, withdrawals, and payments.
