Bybit App Makes Buying Bitcoin (BTC) Easy and Accessible
Mar 20, 2025 at 12:13 pm
Bybit is a trusted cryptocurrency exchange that's designed to simplify crypto purchases. This article shows you step-by-step how to buy Bitcoin with the Bybit app.

The Bybit app is an excellent choice for beginners who want to start their cryptocurrency trading journey. It offers a user-friendly interface, a variety of fiat and cryptocurrency deposit options, and competitive fees. Plus, the app is available on both iOS and Android devices.
To begin, you can create a Bybit account by downloading the app from the Apple App Store or Google Play Store. Once you have the app installed, open it and tap on Sign up.
You can choose to register using either your email or phone number. Then, set a strong, six-digit passcode to secure your account and click on Create Account.
Next, enter the verification code that was sent to your email or SMS to confirm your identity. Finally, complete the Know Your Customer (KYC) process by providing the required documents.
After completing these simple steps, you will be able to start trading Bitcoin on Bybit.
Step 1: Deposit funds into your Bybit wallet
To deposit funds into your Bybit wallet, open the app and tap on Assets at the bottom right.
Then, select Deposit on the My Assets page to choose your preferred deposit method: fiat currency or cryptocurrency.
To deposit fiat currency, you can use the Buy with USD option to instantly deposit funds via Visa, Mastercard, JCB, or Apple Pay. Simply enter your deposit amount (e.g., $100), fill in your card details, and confirm to complete your purchase.
For P2P trading, you can safely buy Bitcoin directly from other users using popular payment methods like bank transfers, Wise, or Zelle. Choose a trusted merchant by checking their completion rate, completed orders, and average release time. Place your order by entering the amount you wish to buy and confirming your purchase securely through the Bybit app.
To transfer cryptocurrency from an external wallet, copy your Bybit wallet address by tapping on Deposit Crypto under the Assets section. Choose your cryptocurrency (e.g., BTC or USDT) and select the correct network (e.g., ERC20, TRC20, or BTC network). Then, copy your Bybit wallet address or scan the QR code and paste it into your external wallet to confirm the transfer.
Step 2: Transfer from your Funding Account to your Unified Trading Account
Once your deposit is complete, the funds will appear in your Funding Account. To start trading, transfer these assets to your Unified Trading Account (UTA).
Tap on Funding from the Assets section and choose the coin you're transferring (e.g., USDT). Select Funding Account as the source and Unified Trading Account as the destination. Enter the amount (e.g., 99 USDT) and tap on Confirm to complete the transfer.
Your funds will instantly appear in your Unified Trading Account, and you can begin trading.
Step 3: Navigate to the trading section
Tap on the Trade tab located at the bottom menu of your app. Select Spot at the top to trade BTC against stablecoins (e.g., BTC/USDT).
Step 4: Place your Bitcoin order
The Bybit app provides several options for purchasing Bitcoin:
* Limit Order: Set the specific price you want to pay for Bitcoin.
* Market Order: Instantly buy Bitcoin at the current market price.
* TP/SL (Take Profit/Stop Loss): Automate selling your Bitcoin at set profit or loss levels.
* Conditional and advanced order types.
To place your order, follow these steps:
1. Navigate to the trading screen. Tap on Trade at the bottom of your app, select Spot trading, and choose the BTC/USDT trading pair.
2. Choose your preferred order type:
* Market Order: This will instantly buy BTC at the current market price.
* Limit Order: This allows you to set a specific price at which you want to buy BTC. For example, if BTC is trading at 82,974.60 USDT, you can set a lower price (e.g., 80,000 USDT) and enter your desired quantity (e.g., 0.001237 BTC).
3. Set Take Profit (TP) and Stop Loss (SL) levels (optional):
* Take Profit (TP): Set a specific price or percentage at which you want to sell your BTC to secure profits.
* Stop Loss (SL): Define a specific price or percentage to automatically sell your BTC and limit potential losses.
4. Review your order and tap on Buy BTC to confirm.
5. Once the transaction is completed, your purchased Bitcoin will be available in the Assets section of your Unified Trading Account.
