BTCC Redefines Charitable Giving by Enabling Bitcoin Donations at Red Eagle Foundation's Legends Golf Day
Apr 29, 2025 at 11:21 pm
The cryptocurrency exchange BTCC, which is the world's longest-running exchange, has brought a new offering to the Red Eagle Foundation's Legends Golf Day, which is raising money for disadvantaged children. For the first time at the event, attendees could donate in Bitcoin. The donations were able to bypass the traditional financial constraints that usually limit charitable contributions at events like this.
The event, which was held on April 24 at The Shire London, saw ten Tottenham Hotspur legends come together to support the Red Eagle Foundation. The stellar lineup included Glenn Hoddle, Teddy Sheringham, Ossie Ardiles, Pat Jennings, Paul Miller, Michael Hazard, John Pratt, David Howells, John Lacey, and Mark Falco.
Attendees were also able to try their luck against professional golfer Lucy Robson in the "Beat the Pro" challenge, while Team Barrington James ultimately clinched the championship title.
A highlight of the evening was a Q&A session with Glenn Hoddle, who shared anecdotes from his illustrious career and provided insights into the current Tottenham Hotspur team. The session was moderated by former Chelsea player and sports television pundit Scott Minto.
"BTCC brings a whole new donation method to traditional charity events, allowing more people in need to benefit from the power of cryptocurrency," said Aaryn, Head of Branding at BTCC Exchange.
"As pioneers in the cryptocurrency space, we believe it's our responsibility to use innovative technology to create positive social impact. We're happy to provide continuous support to our partner Red Eagle Foundation and look forward to launching more CSR initiatives as our exchange grows."
The successful integration of cryptocurrency donations at the Legends Golf Day marks just the beginning of BTCC's expanded commitment to social responsibility. The exchange plans to leverage blockchain technology to address various social challenges in the future.
As a token of appreciation for its loyal community, BTCC will also be launching a giveaway featuring a signed shirt by Glenn Hoddle. Supporters are encouraged to stay tuned for more details on the exchange's X (Twitter).
