BRICS Crypto Looms as a Challenge to U.S. Dollar Hegemony

May 13, 2024 at 05:04 am

The BRICS alliance, which controls a significant portion of USD in international oil trade, is actively discussing the creation of a BRICS Crypto backed by gold. Author Robert Kiyosaki believes that this cryptocurrency could potentially mitigate the effects of a US dollar downturn. South Africa's involvement in the alliance and Kiyosaki's presence there suggest that the BRICS Crypto may be a significant topic in the future.

BRICS Crypto Looms as a Challenge to U.S. Dollar Hegemony

BRICS Crypto: A Challenge to the US Dollar Dominance?

The ongoing discussion surrounding the creation of a BRICS cryptocurrency has gained significant attention as a potential threat to the supremacy of the US dollar in international finance. The BRICS alliance, comprising Brazil, Russia, India, China, and South Africa, holds a substantial share of the USD utilized in global oil trade.

Robert Kiyosaki, renowned author of the bestselling book "Rich Dad Poor Dad," has recently endorsed the potential of Bitcoin (BTC) and other cryptocurrencies as hedges against the declining value of the US dollar. Kiyosaki believes that the creation of a BRICS Crypto, backed by gold, could further accelerate the dollar's downfall.

South Africa, a founding member of the BRICS alliance, has been actively involved in the exploration of a BRICS Crypto. Kiyosaki, who recently visited the country, stated that the government possesses charters outlining the framework for the development of such a digital currency.

The BRICS Crypto, if realized, could pose a significant challenge to the US dollar's dominance. The alliance's collective control over a large portion of the USD used in oil trade, coupled with the potential for a gold-backed cryptocurrency, could significantly weaken the dollar's status as the world's reserve currency.

Kiyosaki expressed concern that the repatriation of billions of dollars back to the United States in the event of a BRICS Crypto's creation could trigger hyperinflation. Historically, hyperinflation has led to a rapid devaluation of the dollar, eroding purchasing power.

To mitigate the potential impact of this economic disruption, Kiyosaki advised investors to acquire assets with proven histories of resilience, including Bitcoin, gold, and silver.

It is important to note that the creation of a BRICS Crypto remains in its early stages, and the exact nature and specifications of such a digital currency are still under discussion. However, the ongoing dialogue within the BRICS alliance and the support of influential figures like Kiyosaki suggest that this development bears close monitoring.
