Brave integration brings Cardano's reach to millions of users

May 13, 2025 at 09:04 pm

Cardano, the proof-of-stake blockchain platform known for its academic rigor and focus on decentralization, is expanding its reach through a partnership between its development arm Input Output (IO) and Brave Software

Brave integration brings Cardano's reach to millions of users

Cryptocurrency platform Cardano is expanding the reach of its blockchain technology through a partnership with Brave Software, the creator of the privacy-first Brave browser and BAT token.

The partnership will see Cardano integrated directly into the multi-chain Brave Wallet, which is used by millions of users worldwide. The integration will allow users to manage native Cardano tokens, participate in on-chain governance, and perform swaps with ADA and other assets.

“Integrating Cardano into Brave Wallet not only expands multi-chain access, but also enhances security, governance participation, and the overall user experience,” said Brendan Eich, CEO and co-founder of Brave.

“With Cardano in Brave Wallet, we are setting a new standard for how blockchain networks should empower individuals—protecting privacy while enabling active, on-chain participation,” added Charles Hoskinson, founder of Cardano and CEO of Input Output.

The partnership builds on the existing relationship between the two companies, who have collaborated on several initiatives in the past.

Earlier this year, both companies spoke out against the U.S. administration’s proposed changes to cryptocurrency regulations, which they argued would stifle innovation and set the industry back.

The partnership will also see the two companies cooperate on broader Web3 initiatives, aiming to create a more decentralized and user-empowering online ecosystem.

“We are excited to be working with Input Output to bring Cardano to Brave Wallet,” said Eich. “This partnership will allow us to reach new heights in our mission to empower users online.”

The integration of Cardano into Brave Wallet is expected to be completed later this year.
