BlackRock’s Bitcoin ETF (IBIT) Pulls in a Record $1.1 Billion in a Single Day

BlackRock (NYSE:BLK), the world’s largest asset manager, pulled in an impressive $1.1 billion in a single day for its Bitcoin (CRYPTO: BTC) exchange-traded fund (IBIT) on Monday as BTC’s price surged to new record highs.

The record inflow came after two days of slight outflows totaling $113.3 million, according to Farside data.

What Happened: The massive inflow into BlackRock’s ETF came on a day when BTC hit a fresh all-time high of nearly $77,000, reaching a peak of $76,943, as reported by CoinMarketCap.

Later in the evening, BTC’s price dropped to around $75,000 and was trading at $75,020 at press time.

IBIT Leads Among U.S. Bitcoin ETFs

On Monday, BlackRock’s IBIT accounted for about 82% of the $1.34 billion that flowed into U.S.-listed spot Bitcoin ETFs.

The Fidelity Wise Origin BTC Fund followed with $190.9 million in inflows, while the ARK 21Shares Bitcoin ETF (NYSE:ARKB) saw $17.6 million.

Optimism Among Crypto Traders, Analysts

Crypto traders and analysts took to social media to express their optimism and anticipation.

Well-known crypto trader "The Bitcoin Therapist," who has 141,400 followers on X, hinted at even more big inflows, saying, "Expect another massive day tomorrow."

BlackRock spot #Bitcoin ETF inflows exceeded $1.1 billion today. Expect another massive day tomorrow.

Financial analyst Rajat Soni, who has 100,400 followers on Twitter, told his followers to "buckle up," and crypto voice Zia ul Haque welcomed everyone to "PumpVember."

Record Inflows Follow High Trading Volume

Bloomberg’s ETF analyst Eric Balchunas said he was surprised by BlackRock's big inflow, even though he had expected a good number based on recent trading volume.

"Told y’all it was prob gonna be big, altho even I am surprised it’s that big, by far biggest one day flow of any BTC etf ever," Balchunas posted on X on Monday.

The strong inflow follows a busy trading day on Friday, when BlackRock’s IBIT ETF saw nearly $1.1 billion in trading volume within just 20 minutes of the market opening following Donald Trump’s victory in the U.S. presidential election.
