Cryptocurrency exchange Bitget has announced the listing of the tap-to-earn (T2E) DOGS token in a move that will see the exchange continue its support for the rapidly growing segment of dog-themed memecoins.

Bitget has listed the new token, which is available on the TON blockchain and has been going viral in recent weeks, garnering massive support among users of the ecosystem. The project is currently in the top ten most downloaded mini-apps on the TON blockchain, trailing behind other up-and-comers in the T2E segment, such as TapSwap, Hamster Kombat, and others.

The iconic token features the “Spotty” dog doodle, which was drawn by Pavel Durov, the founder of the Telegram messenger, and has been rapidly gaining popularity on the platform and his past brainchild – the VK social network.

The use of a unique airdrop mechanism and fun gameplay saw the project achieve an 80% increase in followers overnight in the official Telegram group, which now has a total of 1.7 million users. Well-placed promotion and viral marketing strategies have given the token the right to sport such traction in the Telegram messenger and affiliated platforms, which boast a user base of over 1 billion.

The specific user preferences of the Telegram messenger allow for simple and low-entry-cost games, such as the DOGS game, to attain popularity, a fact that was revealed in a recent survey conducted by the Bitget exchange’s research department. TON blockchain users play an average of five tap-to-earn games, which, combined with the viral marketing strategy of the project, gave the token the boost needed to achieve such viral metrics.

The token positions itself as one of the most prominent tokens in the memecoin market, an endeavor that the Bitget exchange supports and intends to advance, as it aligns with the platform’s core values.

Continuing support for the TON ecosystem and expanding access to the blockchain space remain key priorities for the Bitget team, which has already supported several projects based on the messenger’s base system.

Previously, Bitget listed the tokens of several TON-based projects, including Notcoin, Major, Hamster Kombat, and others. The establishment of the $20 million TON Ecosystem Fund and successful integration of the Telegram Signal Bot are among the earlier moves undertaken by the exchange in its efforts to continue supporting the development of the blockchain and promising projects launched on its basis.
