Bitcoin (BTC) Price Increased by 6.85 Percent in the Last 24 Hours, Altcoins Also Soared

May 21, 2024 at 03:37 pm

Bitcoin's price experienced a remarkable surge of 6.85% in the past 24 hours, reaching US$71,248. Industry experts anticipate further potential growth to test the all-time high of US$73,768. While a potential decline below US$69,000 support is possible, the recent surge could potentially challenge the "Sell in May" trend and conclude the month on a positive note.

Bitcoin Rallies 6.85% to Trade Above $71,000, Bolstered by ETF Inflows and Inflation Optimism

Jakarta, May 21, 2023 - In a remarkable market recovery, the price of Bitcoin (BTC) soared by 6.85% over the past 24 hours, reaching $71,248, or approximately Rp1,14 billion. This surge follows a significant decline in Bitcoin's value, which had plummeted to $56,000 (Rp897 million) in recent weeks.

Panji, an analyst from a leading cryptocurrency exchange, attributed this price surge to Bitcoin's resilience above the crucial support level of $69,000 (Rp1.1 billion). "If BTC can maintain its position above this level, the next potential is for a rally testing the all-time high of $73,768 (Rp1.18 billion)," he stated. However, he also cautioned that a drop below this support could lead to a decline to $65,500 (Rp1,049 billion).

Panji expressed optimism that the recent surge in Bitcoin's value could break the bearish "Sell in May" trend. He noted that the crypto asset has shown promise in closing the month positively.

Meanwhile, altcoins with significant market capitalizations have also experienced substantial gains. Ethereum (ETH) rallied by 17.94%, Avalanche (AVAX) surged by 12.59%, and Solana (SOL) jumped by 9.69%.

Panji attributed the broader market recovery to increased trading activity in spot Bitcoin ETFs, which have witnessed significant inflows in recent weeks. This influx of institutional capital has provided positive momentum for the cryptocurrency market.

Additionally, the crypto market has reacted favorably to signs of easing inflation in the United States. "The emergence of an inflation rate that meets market expectations has sparked a positive response in the crypto market," Panji concluded.

Analysts believe that the recent rally in Bitcoin and the broader crypto market could potentially continue in the short term, supported by positive market sentiment and growing adoption of digital assets. However, they emphasize the volatility inherent in cryptocurrency markets and advise investors to proceed with caution.
