Bitcoin Regains to $103K, Leaving a Giant Impact on the Altcoin Market

Crypto market signals were mixed today as most of the altcoins saw divergence and traded separate ways from one another.

While Bitcoin was witnessing significant selling pressure, it left a giant impact on the whole crypto space, with Ethereum and BNB seeing a notable drop while Dogecoin (DOGE) dipped 8% in the past 24 hours.

Bitcoin Regains to $103K

Bitcoin, which was trading in the $105K range, dipped as low as $100,833 earlier today, but it steadily gained later and is currently trading at $103,600—as per CoinMarketCap data.

In the past 7 days, Bitcoin has gained over 10% in a continued rally, which fueled the overall optimism and bullish sentiment in the broader crypto market. As the weekly opening on Monday tends to bring increased volatility, Bitcoin—as the most volatile asset—saw significant shifts.

Ethereum, BNB, and Dogecoin Drops

Ethereum’s upward trend was halted after the steep drops in the price of Bitcoin, which saw it drop as low as $2,411 earlier today. At the time of writing, Ethereum is trading near $2,508—down 1% in the past 24 hours. Other altcoins also dropped notably, with BNB taking a 4.41% dip while Dogecoin was as low as 8% in the past 24 hours.

Today’s Top Gainers

Among top gainers, XRP is leading today, with it gaining 5% in the past 24 hours, followed by XMR. Notably, no other cryptocurrency assets have experienced a significant increase.

Today’s Top Losers

In the top losers list, Pi Coin ranks first with a decline of 27%, followed by TRUMP and SHIB, which both experienced a 10% dip in the past 24 hours.

Market Overview

As per CoinMarketCap data, the global crypto market cap today sits at $3.33 trillion, down 0.47%, with a 24-hour trading volume of $157.59 billion. The open interest in crypto perpetuals remains at $678.97 billion, while futures have $3.05 billion today.
