Bitcoin Reclaims $110K Mark as Ethereum (ETH) Breaks Above $2,700
May 28, 2025 at 02:45 am
The cryptocurrency market is riding a wave of bullish momentum today
The cryptocurrency market is showing signs of bullish momentum today, with Bitcoin (BTC) reclaiming the $110,000 mark and Ethereum (ETH) breaking above $2,700 for the first time since February. Following the rally in ETH price, altcoins like XRP, BNB, and Solana (SOL) also posted decent gains, each rising approximately 2% and signaling a robust recovery across the board.
At the time of writing, Bitcoin was trading at a price of $110,200, up 0.85% in the past 24 hours. Its 24 hour trading volume had increased by 20% today, which now stands at $55.87 billion.
The slight increase in BTC price came as traders noted a decrease in US-EU trade tensions and renewed investor confidence, which contributed to the rise in Bitcoin price.
On the other hand, Ethereum caught the market attention again with it recovering from earlier May lows and soaring past $2,700 in a solid uptrend. Technical indicators like MACD were also pointing to continued upward potential with analysts eyeing $2,800-$2,900 range as ETH’s next major target.
According to CoinMarketCap, Ethereum is currently trading at $2,691—up 5.97% in the past 24 hours. It surged as high as $2,711 earlier today while attempting for another push above $2,800 in a potential continued uptrend.
According to price predictions, some analysts are forecasting that Bitcoin could hit $120,000 and Ethereum $3,000 by the weekend.

BNB reached $690, while XRP hit $2.33, supported by positive market sentiment. However, not all altcoins kept pace, with some like Sui (SUI) and Chainlink (LINK) seeing slightly higher gains of 3-4% in certain reports.
