Bitcoin Momentum Indicators Have Seen Bearish Crossovers Recently

Data shows three popular Bitcoin momentum indicators recently formed a death cross pattern. Here's what usually follows this formation.

Bitcoin Momentum Indicators Have Seen Bearish Crossovers Recently

Three Bitcoin momentum indicators have recently formed a death cross pattern, suggesting that the cryptocurrency may be heading towards at least a short-term bearish period.

The three indicators are:

* Active Address Momentum: The 30-day moving average (MA) of the daily unique number of BTC Active Addresses has crossed below the 365-day MA.

* Market Value to Realized Value (MVRV) Ratio: The 30-day MA of the MVRV Ratio has crossed below the 365-day MA.

* 50-day and 200-day MAs of the Bitcoin price: The 50-day MA has crossed below the 200-day MA.

The Active Address Momentum indicates that activity on the BTC blockchain has been on the decline. This pattern has historically served as a death cross, with BTC shifting towards a bearish phase following it.

The MVRV Ratio suggests that investor profits have been shrinking. This pattern has also been seen before bear markets in the past.

Finally, the bearish crossover between the 50-day and 200-day MAs of the Bitcoin price itself is another indication of potential bearishness to come.

Overall, these three indicators are suggesting that Bitcoin may be due for at least a short-term pullback. However, it is important to note that technical indicators are not always accurate, and other factors could still influence the price of BTC in the coming weeks and months.
