Bitcoin Leads Year-to-Date With a +17.6% Return

Not only did Bitcoin win the month of April, but the coin also wears the crown for 2019 to date. Since the beginning of 2025, the token price has increased by +17.6%, outperforming other classes of assets. Compared to gold, which is largely unchanged, the traditional stock indexes have posted smaller gains.

That makes Bitcoin Russia’s strongest asset in its report. This is a big call from a central bank, which is usually careful with crypto.
