The cryptocurrency market commenced the day with a cautious tone, displaying mixed price action and lower trading volumes. As the market cap saw a minimal increase of 0.15%, settling at $2.72 trillion, the Fear & Greed Index slid to 23, reflecting a more defensive stance among traders.
Bitcoin held firm above the $82k mark, closing in on its 24-hour high of $83,438. Despite a slight dip of 0.03%, BTC's price remained stable. Moreover, BlackRock’s IBIT saw its largest single-day inflow in 6 weeks, with the addition of 2,660 BTC, worth about $217 million, highlighting persistent institutional interest.

Among the top 100 cryptocurrencies, EOS displayed an impressive 25.72% surge in the last 24 hours, leading the pack. Following closely were RAY with a 12.96% gain and MKR with an 8.62% increase.
However, not all tokens experienced bullish momentum. FORM led the losers, dropping 13.26%, followed by CAKE with a 7.49% decrease, and CRO, which slipped 5.33%.
Further highlighting the market's nervousness, trading activity slowed down slightly, with 24-hour volumes decreasing by 1.59% to $71.59 billion.
