Once again, the crypto market is going through a period of turbulence. Some investors are even on high alert following the release of an alarming report from 10x Research.

A recent report by 10x Research has put some crypto investors on high alert. The report suggests that the Bitcoin (BTC) price could experience a sharp drop, potentially affecting the entire crypto market.
The ISM Manufacturing Index, a key indicator of the U.S. economy, is showing a worrying slowdown. According to the 10x Research report, this could have disastrous consequences for Bitcoin and other digital assets.
“It might be premature for cryptocurrency traders to open new leveraged long positions,” said Markus Thielen, founder of 10x Research.
The report highlights a historical correlation between the ISM index and Bitcoin. 10x Research's analysis suggests that Bitcoin has experienced significant corrections whenever the ISM has peaked. This analysis points to a potential drop in Bitcoin below the $50,000 mark.
Moreover, the S&P 500 could also experience a 20% correction, which would further amplify the bearish pressure on the digital asset market.
Despite these bleak prospects, Bitcoin's dominance hit a new annual high of 58% on August 5. However, Tony Sycamore, an analyst at IG Markets, noted that this rise in dominance amid falling prices indicates that crypto is facing high risk.
As the U.S. economy and the FED's decisions unfold, crypto traders and investors should closely monitor the situation. The upcoming weeks will be crucial in determining the fate of Bitcoin and the broader crypto market.
