Bitcoin and Ether Exchange-Traded Funds (ETFs) Saw Their Three-Day Inflow Streak Broken
May 08, 2025 at 03:45 am
Both bitcoin and ether exchange-traded funds (ETFs) logged net outflows on Tuesday, interrupting a strong start to the week and shifting the tide on Monday's report that posted three days of positive momentum.
Bitcoin ETFs saw a collective net outflow of $85.64 million, pausing a recent streak of inflows. Grayscale's GBTC saw a sharp drawdown of $89.92 million, and Ark 21Shares' ARKB also saw a sizable exit of $16.12 million. Franklin's EZBC and Vaneck's HODL each saw more modest outflows of $8.26 million and $8.06 million, respectively.
The lone bright spot was iShares' IBIT, which continues to attract capital. The fund saw inflows of $36.73 million.
Total value traded across bitcoin ETFs came to $1.46 billion, and net assets ended the day at $111.15 billion.
Ether ETFs also took a hit, with Fidelity's FETH seeing an outflow of $17.87 million. The rest of the ether ETFs remained untouched.
With total ether ETF volume at $135.25 million, net assets decreased slightly to $6.18 billion. Both bitcoin and ether ETFs saw their three-day inflow streak broken on Tuesday, primarily due to a sharp drawdown from Grayscale's GBTC and an outflow from Fidelity's FETH.
