Apr 25, 2024 at 11:14 am

Bitcoin faced resistance at $67,000, leading to a correction below $63,650. Breaking below a bullish trendline at $66,200, Bitcoin currently trades below $65,000 and the 100 hourly Simple moving average. Immediate resistance lies at $64,500, followed by $65,350 and $65,850. Bulls aim for $67,000, while bears watch for a decline towards $62,600 or $61,200.

Bitcoin Consolidates Amid Resistance and Support Levels

Bitcoin's Price Consolidation Amidst Resistance and Support Levels

Bitcoin's recent surge faced resistance at the $67,000 mark, leading to a decline in its value. The cryptocurrency is currently encountering difficulty in maintaining its position above $63,650.

Resistance and Support Levels

Bitcoin's inability to breach the $67,200 resistance zone initiated a downward trend. Subsequently, the price of Bitcoin plummeted below $65,000 and the 100 hourly Simple Moving Average.

On the hourly chart of the BTC/USD pair, a breakdown below a critical bullish trend line with support at $66,200 occurred. This decline took the price of Bitcoin down to $63,583, marking a temporary low. The cryptocurrency is currently consolidating its losses, trading below $65,500.

Immediate Resistance

An immediate resistance level lies at $64,500, coinciding with the 23.6% Fibonacci retracement level of the downside move from $67,195 to $63,583. The primary resistance is located at $65,350, representing the 50% Fibonacci retracement level of the same price range.

Further Resistance

Overcoming the $65,350 resistance may trigger a potential rise towards $65,850. A decisive move above this zone could propel Bitcoin's price higher, possibly towards $67,000.

Support Levels

Should Bitcoin fail to rise above the $65,350 resistance, it may continue its downward trajectory. Immediate downside support is situated at $63,500.

The next major support level is $62,600. A break below this level could send Bitcoin towards $61,200 and potentially $60,000 in the near term.

Technical Indicators

Hourly MACD (Moving Average Convergence Divergence): The MACD is decelerating within the bearish zone.

Hourly RSI (Relative Strength Index): The RSI for BTC/USD has dropped below the 50 level, indicating a shift in momentum towards the bears.

Conclusion

Bitcoin's price remains in a state of flux, constrained between key resistance and support levels. A breakout above or below these levels will determine the cryptocurrency's immediate trajectory.
