Bitcoin (BTC) price surged past the $64,000 mark on Monday as buyers attempted to push the world’s largest cryptocurrency above the 200-day SMA and key resistance at $65,000. BTC reached a day high of $64,712 in the early hours of Monday, but selling pressure increased as the price dropped back below $64,000.
After rising by 0.37%, BTC settled at $63,348. On Monday, the price of BTC experienced a slight uptick, with buyers and sellers vying for control. After dropping to a day low of $62,427 on Sunday, BTC price saw a marginal increase on both Saturday and Sunday.
However, buyers pushed to move above the 200-day SMA and $65,000 at the start of the week. BTC price reached a day high of $64,712, but selling pressure increased as buyers lost momentum and BTC price fell back below $64,000. Despite the selling pressure, BTC price eventually settled at $63,348 after rising by 0.37%.
Currently, BTC price faces resistance at $64,000 and $65,000. Buyers will look to drive BTC price above this level, but bears are holding their ground for the moment. If buyers can keep BTC price above $60,000, the likelihood of a move past $65,000 increases. In such a scenario, BTC price could surge to $70,000.
