The cryptocurrency market is riding a wave of bullish momentum today, with Bitcoin (BTC) reclaiming the $110,000 mark and Ethereum (ETH) breaking above $2,700
The cryptocurrency market is displaying signs of bullish momentum today, with Bitcoin (BTC) reclaiming the $110,000 mark and Ethereum (ETH) breaking above $2,700 for the first time since February.
Following the rally in ETH price, altcoins like XRP, BNB, and Solana (SOL) also posted decent gains, each rising approximately 2% while signaling a robust recovery across the board.
Bitcoin Price Edges Up Amid Easing Trade Tensions
At the time of writing, Bitcoin was trading at a price point of $109,788, exhibiting a modest 0.85% increase in the past 24 hours.
The apex coin's movements were closely tied to the shifting dynamics of US-EU trade tensions and renewed investor confidence in the crypto sphere.
The 24 hour trading volume in BTC has also risen by 20% today, which currently sits at $55.87 billion.
On the other hand, Ethereum managed to catch the market attention again as it recovered from earlier May lows and soared past the $2,700 level in a continuing uptrend.
Technical indicators like MACD were suggesting that there might be scope for further bullish price action, with analysts setting their sights on the $2,800-$2,900 range as ETH’s next major target.
According to CoinMarketcap data, Ethereum is currently trading at $2,691–up 5.97% in the past 24 hours. It surged as high as $2,711 earlier today while attempting for another push above $2,800 in a potential continued uptrend.
Looking ahead, price predictions are optimistic, with some forecasting Bitcoin could hit $120,000 and Ethereum $3,000 by weekend.
Optimism in Sight As Altcoins Post Recovery With Solana Leading Paces
Among the altcoins, Solna was performing particularly well, reporting a 2.67% gain and trading close to the $179 level as its resilience and bullish patterns drew attention from traders.
Solana's recovery was closely tied to the unfolding events in the legal battle between the US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) and crypto exchange Coinbase and digital asset management firm HashKey.
Optimism over the legal cases and the potential for a positive outcome were largely credited with sparking a broad rally in the crypto market today.
Good performance was also seen in BNB, which reached $690, and XRP hit $2.33, supported by positive market sentiment. However, not all altcoins kept pace, with some like Sui (SUI) and Chainlink (LINK) seeing slightly higher gains of 3-4% in certain reports.
