Benzinga - The current price of Bitcoin (BTC) fell by 0.09% in the last 24 hours, trading at $94,153.14 at the time of writing. Despite this temporary decline, large investment companies are investing heavily in cryptocurrencies, particularly Bitcoin.

On the other hand, Ethereum (ETH) fell by 0.86% to $1,791.48.

Pointing out firms like Strategy, "which have been taking on Bitcoin treasuries, are leading the way on what some call hyperbitcoinization," explained Adam Back, CEO of Blockstream and creator of Hashcash.

Hyperbitcoinization refers to a future in which Bitcoin surpasses fiat currencies globally. According to Back, these changes could propel Bitcoin's market cap to over $200 trillion.

Firms such as Strategy are capitalizing on what Back termed a "logical and sustainable arbitrage," charging hard into Bitcoin treasury reserves. Strategy co-founder Michael Saylor recently indicated that the firm's Bitcoin holdings have earned more than $5.1 billion in profit since January 2025.

In Asia, Metaplanet, known as "Asia's MicroStrategy," has already invested in more than 5,000 BTC. The company aims to acquire 21,000 BTC by 2026. Thus, revealing a global corporate shift towards using Bitcoin as a store of value.
