Bitcoin (BTC) Market Analysis: What Does the $65,000 Level Mean?

Sep 27, 2024 at 02:34 pm

The Bitcoin market met a strong upward momentum on September 7. Since then, the momentum has been gradually picking up strength.

Bitcoin (BTC) Market Analysis: What Does the $65,000 Level Mean?

The Bitcoin price experienced a significant surge in momentum starting September 7. This development has garnered attention within the cryptocurrency community, particularly regarding the implications of the market breaching the crucial $65,000 level. In light of this achievement, renowned cryptocurrency expert Miles Deutscher shared his insights via Twitter.

At the beginning of this month, the BTC price hovered around $57,326. During the initial days, the market predominantly exhibited bearish sentiments. Between September 3 and 6, the price underwent a sharp decline from $59,123 to $53,985, marking the steepest drop reported this month. However, as mentioned earlier, the situation shifted on September 7, with buyers regaining control of the market.

From that point onward, the market has sustained a bullish trend, albeit encountering minor setbacks along the way. One notable instance occurred between September 14 and 16, where the price briefly slipped from $60,443 to $58,253.

Deutscher's post highlights the importance of the latest breach of the crucial $65,000 level, which has enabled the BTC market to establish a new higher-high. In technical analysis, a higher-high is considered significant as it generally serves as an indication of bullish sentiment.

First $BTC daily close above the "must hold" level at $65k (and a higher high).

Final thing I want to see is a weekly close above for additional confirmation (3 days to go).

As Deutscher's post suggests, a cautious approach is warranted in confirming a sustained uptrend. It appears that he intends to assess whether the $65,000 level will continue to hold the market. If the weekly chart of the Bitcoin market shows the price maintaining this level, it could serve as confirmation that a new strong uptrend has indeed begun.

Examining the weekly chart, the Bitcoin market presents a strong bullish trend, displaying three consecutive bullish candlesticks. Notably, the only week this month that the market closed with a bearish candlestick was during the first week, when the price dropped to a low of $54,855 at the close.

In the second week, the price experienced a sharp climb, rising from $54,912 to $59,123 at the close. During the third week, it reached a high of $63,588 at the close. For the fourth and final week of the month, the market is largely expected to follow the precedent set by the second and third weeks.

In conclusion, the level of $65,000 holds great significance for the Bitcoin market. If the BTC price manages to hold this level, it could be regarded as confirmation of a new uptrend. As Deutchser's post suggests, we only have to wait for a couple of days to know whether the Bitcoin price will hold this level or not.
