Bitcoin (BTC), Ethereum (ETH), and Ripple (XRP) Prices Have Faced Sharp Declines This Week

Bitcoin (BTC), Ethereum (ETH), and Ripple (XRP) Prices Have Faced Sharp Declines This Week

In a week marked by heightened volatility, Bitcoin (BTC), Ethereum (ETH), and Ripple (XRP) encountered significant price declines, reflecting the turbulent nature of the crypto market. As Bitcoin hovered near the $87,000 level, investors closely observed key support zones to gauge whether the market would recover or continue its downward slide.

Bitcoin (BTC)

World’s Leading cryptocurrency Bitcoin price slipped over 7% this week as it struggled to find support above $85,000. BTC traded around $87,000 on Friday, extending its downward trend despite a noteworthy executive order from former U.S. President Donald Trump, establishing the U.S. Strategic Bitcoin Reserve.

The announcement, made on Thursday, initially sparked optimism among crypto investors. However, in the broader scheme of things, macroeconomic headwinds and regulatory concerns continue to exert pressure on crypto traders, setting the stage for further price movements.

If Bitcoin breaks below the 200-day EMA and closes below $85,000, then further declines toward $73,000 could be in the making. Conversely, if BTC manages to hold support at $85,000, then a recovery toward $95,000 remains a possibility.

Ethereum (ETH)

World’s no 2 cryptocurrency Ethereum price followed Bitcoin’s lead as it slid nearly 15% this week. After glancing at the crucial resistance level at $2,359, ETH reversed its gains and now approaches the crucial support at $2,125.

If the bears succeed in breaking below the support, then a steeper decline toward $1,900 could be on the cards. Conversely, if the bulls manage to defend the support zone, then a bounce back toward $2,359 remains a possibility.

For now, Ethereum traders are approaching the cryptocurrency with caution as it approaches a crucial support level. A slip below $2,125 could pave the way for further downside pressure, while a bounce off this zone might fuel a potential recovery rally.

Ripple (XRP)

Among major cryptocurrencies, Ripple (XRP) experienced one of the sharpest declines, plunging nearly 18.79% earlier in the week as it slipped below the 100-day EMA at $2.31. However, the token managed to find support at this technical indicator, triggering a 8.63% recovery.

If XRP manages to maintain support at $2.31, then it could continue recovering toward $3.00. However, a breakdown could open the door for a deeper correction.
