Bitcoin Accumulation Addresses Soar as Holders Double Down

Apr 20, 2024 at 05:20 am

Amidst recent price declines, Bitcoin accumulation addresses have reached an all-time high, demonstrating unwavering faith in the flagship cryptocurrency. BTC price exhibited resilience, rebounding above the $60,000 support level post a geopolitical event. On-chain data reveals significant inflows into accumulation addresses, indicating the confidence of long-term holders and their positioning for a potential bull run.

Bitcoin Accumulation Addresses Soar as Holders Double Down

Bitcoin Accumulation Addresses Witness Surge as Holders Affirm Faith

Amidst a fluctuating market, Bitcoin (BTC) enthusiasts have demonstrated unwavering confidence in the cryptocurrency, with accumulation addresses on an unprecedented rise.

New All-Time High of Bitcoin Inflows

Data from CryptoQuant reveals a remarkable trend: Bitcoin accumulation addresses received a record inflow of 27,700 BTC over two consecutive days, April 16-17. This surpasses the previous all-time high (ATH) of 25,500 BTC set on March 23. Notably, this inflow occurred despite recent market downturns.

Accumulation addresses are Bitcoin wallets characterized by a balance exceeding 10 BTC, no outgoing transactions, and exclusion from exchanges and miners. They receive at least two incoming transactions, with the most recent within the past seven years. These addresses represent long-term holders with bullish sentiments towards Bitcoin.

Growing Accumulation Trend

The surge in accumulation addresses underscores the conviction among these long-term holders. They are likely anticipating a future bull run and believe Bitcoin prices will not drop to current levels once the market rebounds.

Ki Young Ju, CEO of CryptoQuant, emphasized the significance of this trend, noting that on-chain accumulation remains "very active" despite the waning demand for Spot Bitcoin ETFs. This suggests that Bitcoin bulls may fill the demand void left by these ETFs.

Price Rebound Amidst Market Volatility

Despite the recent pullback below $60,000 following Israel's retaliatory attack on Iran, Bitcoin displayed resilience by swiftly recovering above this support level. This indicates the establishment of strong support around $60,000 and the potential for an upward trajectory.

Crypto analyst Crypto Rover anticipates a substantial surge in Bitcoin's price, predicting a "banger" in the near future.

Current Market Position

At the time of writing, Bitcoin trades around $62,000, showing a gain in the last 24 hours. The confluence of accumulation address inflows and strong support levels suggests that the flagship cryptocurrency is poised for continued growth.
