Binance Makes a Thunderous Update to Its Platform, Excluding 15 Cryptocurrencies From Its Quotes

TradingView, a popular charting and technical analysis platform, has announced a thunderous update to its platform, which will include the exclusion of 15 cryptocurrencies from its quotes. This decision, which will take effect on September 1, 2024, will affect a range of tokens, including Bitcoin (BTC), Ethereum (ETH), XRP, Litecoin (LTC), Tron (TRX), Chainlink (LINK), Uniswap (UNI), Aave (AAVE), Compound (COMP), Maker (MKR), SushiSwap (SUSHI), Curve (CRV), Yearn.Finance (YFI), and Monero (XMR).

Currently, users holding any of the affected instruments will have until this date to withdraw them from the black-and-yellow platform. Notably, the platform will also be halting cryptocurrency deposits on the mentioned date.

In other news, the United States Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) has filed a lawsuit against a pyramid scheme that allegedly defrauded investors out of $650 million. The scheme, which was disguised as a cryptocurrency investment platform, promised guaranteed returns of up to 2,000% within a short period.

According to the SEC's complaint, the platform, known as Pay Diamond, lured victims by offering high-yield investments in Bitcoin (BTC), Ethereum (ETH), and other cryptocurrencies. However, the majority of the funds were diverted to the scheme's operators and their affiliates.

The SEC is seeking to recover the ill-gotten gains, permanently enjoin the defendants from engaging in further violations of federal securities laws, and impose civil penalties.
