Binance Excludes PI Network from "Vote to List" Campaign
Apr 04, 2025 at 12:05 am
Binance has launched the second round of its community-driven "Vote to List" campaign, featuring 12 new tokens. However, once again, PI has been left out of the process.

Binance has opened the second round of its "Vote to List" campaign, offering users the chance to decide which 12 tokens they want to see listed on the exchange. However, once again, PI has been excluded from the selection process.
This exclusion has disappointed the large community of Pi Network, who had hoped that this would be the round where the token would finally be included. The current selection includes projects such as VIRTUAL, BIGTIME, UXLINK, MORPHO, ZETA, and ONDR, which are known for their practical use cases and real-world utility.

To participate in the voting process, users need to register on Binance and select their preferred candidates from the list of 18 nominated projects. The project with the highest vote count at the end of the 48-hour voting period will be included in the final selection.
However, Pi Network is not an option in this round, as Binance is only allowing tokens based on BNB Chain to participate in this initiative. This technical decision excludes Pi Network, which operates on its own blockchain.
This integration is essential for seamless operation within the Binance ecosystem and optimal user experience. Moreover, choosing tokens based on BNB Chain aligns with Binance's broader strategy of fostering innovation and supporting the development of the BNB Chain ecosystem.
The initiative also reflects the challenges that many crypto projects face when seeking listings on major centralized exchanges. These exchanges prioritize security, compatibility, and the long-term stability of the projects they choose to host.
The inclusion of projects like VIRTUAL, BIGTIME, UXLINK, MORPHO, ZETA, and ONDR in this round reflects a focus on projects with strong community engagement, unique value propositions, and the potential to make a lasting impact in their respective domains.
As the voting progresses, the anticipation and excitement among the crypto community will undoubtedly continue to build, making this initiative a highlight of the early 2024 crypto season.
In other news, PI price fell sharply by 18.84% to reach $0.5520, marking its lowest level in several weeks. However, despite the price drop, trading volume soared, indicating strong interest in the asset.
The market capitalization of PI fell to $3.75 billion. This decline can be attributed to the upcoming release of 126.6 million new tokens this month, which will be added to the circulating supply and put additional pressure on the price.
