A RARE Benjamin Bunny 50p coin is being flogged on eBay for a staggering £28,000 – over 56,000 times its face value.

The coin, which features the Beatrix Potter character on one side and Queen Elizabeth II on the other, was struck in 2017.

It is now being sold by an Oxfordshire seller for almost £28,000 or the best offer.

The seller describes the coin as a "treasure for collectors and fans."

The listing reads: "Delve into the world of Beatrix Potter with the 2017 Benjamin Bunny UK 50p coin, a treasure for collectors and fans alike.
