AVAX vs Sol: The unexpected duel that could reshape the crypto landscape

Despite the recent buzz around Solana, analyst Santiment predicts a more robust growth for Avalanche (AVAX) in the coming days.

AVAX vs Sol: The unexpected duel that could reshape the crypto landscape

Fresh from the rumor mill, we have it on good authority (thanks, Santiment!) that while both Solana (SOL) and Avalanche (AVAX) have enjoyed a recent upswing in the wake of the crypto market rally—both rising by more than 7%—their respective catalysts paint a contrasting picture.

As we reported earlier this week, Solana’s surge can be largely attributed to the announcement by VanEck that they have filed for an SOL ETF with the SEC. This news, combined with analyst James Seyffart’s prediction that an ETF approval for SOL is likely by 2025, has generated a massive influx of interest and capital.

The price of SOL soared to $145.35, while trading volume exploded by 122% to $3.15 billion. In the meantime, AVAX also enjoyed a price increase, reaching $27.96, following its inclusion by expert Quinten on a list of cryptos likely to get ETF approval by 2025.

However, unlike SOL’s fanfare-driven ascent, Santiment believes that Avalanche’s more discreet rise bodes well for its sustained growth potential. But what perspectives and influencing factors are at play here?

According to the analysis, Solana’s surge can be primarily credited to the fear of missing out (FOMO), a phenomenon that tends to be short-lived. In contrast, Avalanche’s more subtle rally could offer a higher and more stable growth prospect.

This divergence in dynamics is critical for investors to consider. While institutional interest and regulatory developments are key drivers, the ongoing legal battles (e.g., the case of Coinbase vs. SEC) continue to influence the general sentiment.

Derivative data also supports these optimistic perspectives, with an increase in open interest for both Avalanche and Solana futures contracts, indicating a sustained bullish potential for these two assets.

But remember, folks: In this ever-changing landscape, a healthy dose of caution and in-depth analysis goes a long way. While the buzz around Solana is hard to miss, Avalanche’s promising yet understated trajectory could surprise the market in the coming weeks.
