Avalanche C-Chain integrates with Stripe, enabling verified users of the payment firm to purchase AVAX directly and transfer it to their wallets. This collaboration also involves the integration of eight Avalanche Web3 apps, empowering developers to embed customizable widgets within their interfaces. The integration seeks to address the "cold start problem" in web3, where users encounter insufficient funds to transact on platforms.

Avalanche C-Chain Network Integrates with Stripe, Facilitating Cryptocurrency Purchases and Web3 App Access
In a significant development for the cryptocurrency ecosystem, Avalanche's C-Chain network has partnered with global payment platform Stripe. This integration enables verified Stripe users to seamlessly purchase Avalanche's native cryptocurrency, AVAX, and transfer it to their wallets, as announced in an official blog post dated April 29th by Ava Labs, the network's developer.
Beyond the ability to acquire AVAX, this integration also extends to eight Avalanche-based Web3 applications, empowering their users to effortlessly convert fiat currencies into cryptocurrencies through Stripe's secure platform. These integrated apps include the Avalanche Core portfolio app, the staking protocol GoGoPool, the username service Avvy, the social media platform The Arena, the nonfungible token (NFT) marketplace Zeroone, the Halliday wallet, the web development platform Pakt, and the blockchain games DeFi Kingdoms and Shrapnel.
This collaboration aims to address the "cold start problem" prevalent in the Web3 space, which arises when users lack sufficient funds in their wallets to execute transactions on a platform. To mitigate this challenge, Stripe assumes responsibility for all KYC (Know Your Customer) procedures, payment processing, fraud detection, and compliance adherence, allowing developers to concentrate on enhancing their applications.
Initially, the Core portfolio integration allows users to establish Avalanche accounts using their Google or Apple ID and fund them via bank transfers, debit cards, or credit cards. Explaining the potential impact of this partnership, Akash Gupta, Head of Consumer Products at Ava Labs, commented:
"Core's integration with Stripe represents another pivotal step in our commitment to providing users with intuitive and streamlined solutions. By bridging the gap between crypto and fiat, Core paves the way for seamless onboarding and wider consumer adoption of digital currencies in daily transactions."
This recent development follows Stripe's announcement on April 25th that it would integrate stablecoin payments using Circle's USD Coin (USDC) on the Solana, Ethereum, and Polygon networks. These strategic moves by Stripe underscore its commitment to expanding the accessibility and utility of cryptocurrencies within the burgeoning Web3 landscape.
