Avalanche (AVAX) Bulls Overpowered by the Bears, What Will It Take to Reverse the Trend?
Jun 28, 2024 at 05:00 pm
Avalanche [AVAX] is currently showing promising signs of a bullish reversal, driven by recent market dynamics and buying pressure. But what does it need in

Avalanche [AVAX] bulls have been attempting to steer the narrative towards the upside for some time now. However, the bears have been putting up quite a fight. So, what does AVAX need in order to complete a bullishܞ reversal?
Well, for starters, the network value to transactions ratio seems to be declining. Now, this is usually considered a bullish signal since it might indicate the token is trading at a lower relative value in relation to the amount of transactions on the network.
But, but, but… Active addresses have been declining throughout June, indicating reduced activity on the network. This could potentially dampen any bullish momentum unless it is reversed.
Moving on, the exchange net flow rate has also increased, indicating that overall, more AVAX is moving into exchanges.
Now, if the NVT ratio continues to decline while transaction volumes increase, this could indicate a healthier, fundamentally driven growth, which would contribute positively to a bullish market reversal.
Oh, and the Ichimoku Cloud (or Kumo) is currently showing a red cloud, indicating an incoming bearish phase. The Tenkan-Sen (blue line) is below the Kijun-Sen (red line), indicating another bearish signal.
A crossover under the cloud completely undermines the current bullish momentum.
For a bullish reversal to hold, AVAX needs to break above the Ichimoku cloud convincingly, with a crossover of the Tenkan-Sen above the Kijun-Sen within or above the cloud. An increase in volume on bullish days would support this reversal.
Interestingly, the 200-day MA shows a significant bullish trend over the long term, being placed far below the current price level. The MACD line is below the signal line and both are heading downward, being led by the bears.
If the price attempts a recovery, the green MA (200-day) could act as a critical support level. Any reversal from this level would signal a bullish reversal.
However, a convincing reversal would require the MACD line to cross above the signal line and the price to break above the middle red Bollinger Band.
Unfortunately, the current setup leans heavily towards bearishness, with potential for further declines.
