Asphere Partners With Web3 Foundation to Deliver a No-Code Rollup Deployment Solution for the Polkadot Network
May 26, 2025 at 11:42 am
In a major development for blockchain scalability, Asphere—the enterprise arm of Ankr and a recognized provider of Web3 infrastructure—has formed a strategic collaboration with the Web3 Foundation.
Major Web3 infrastructure provider Asphere, the enterprise arm of Ankr, has joined forces with the Web3 Foundation in a groundbreaking initiative to introduce a groundbreaking no-code rollup deployment solution for the Polkadot multichain network. This strategic collaboration aims to lower the entry barrier for organizations and developers seeking to launch sovereign rollups on the Polkadot ecosystem, ultimately expanding participation in the decentralized Web3 landscape.
This new framework, designed to enable rapid deployment of secure, high-performance, and interoperable rollups, features a user-friendly interface that allows both technical and non-technical teams to configure and launch customized rollups in a matter of minutes.
This approach, which avoids the need for specialized protocol knowledge, is expected to accelerate blockchain adoption and network scalability.
“Polkadot rollups are a key part of the broader Web3 scalability story. They’ve long been recognized for their potential, and now this new no-code deployment tool will empower a new generation of developers and enterprises to build scalable networks without needing advanced protocol-level expertise,” said Tyler Sloan, Head of Scaling Solutions at Asphere.
The deployment stack developed by Asphere utilizes the Polkadot SDK and provides several pre-built templates, including generic rollups and Ethereum-compatible options, to ensure easy migration of dApps and support teams throughout all deployment stages.
Asphere will handle the technical complexities typically associated with blockchain rollup launches, including managing runtime logic, consensus mechanisms, and node infrastructure operations.
“This partnership with Asphere is part of our ongoing effort to unlock the full capabilities of Polkadot technology,” added David Hawig, Ecosystem Growth Lead at the Web3 Foundation.
“With its built-in interoperability and shared security, and with full-stack deployment support, we enable builders to focus fully on innovation and product development.”
The joint offering accommodates various rollup types, catering to diverse needs across the ecosystem. These include independent rollups that support customizable tokenomics and governance structures, system rollups that align with the utility of Polkadot’s native DOT token, and application-specific rollups tailored for use cases like DeFi, gaming, NFTs, and DAOs.
Beyond streamlining the technical deployment process, the no-code solution also incorporates infrastructure that ensures scalability, regulatory compliance, and high system availability. With around-the-clock support and real-time monitoring integrated into the service, Asphere aims to provide the most comprehensive rollup launch service within the Polkadot ecosystem.
Polkadot’s unique shared network model, which enables parallel transaction execution, native interoperability, and enhanced security via its relay-chain architecture, complements Asphere’s modular infrastructure. The combined framework offers performance advantages for projects requiring low fees and high throughput.
A key aspect of the collaboration is the emphasis on sovereign and modular architecture. Development teams are given full control to personalize their rollups using various runtime modules, covering areas such as staking, governance, and identity. Additionally, they retain autonomy over upgrade paths and the long-term evolution of their rollups.
The partnership between Asphere and the Web3 Foundation marks a significant shift toward accessible blockchain scalability. By enabling a plug-and-play model for launching specialized networks, the initiative aims to empower a wide spectrum of participants—from established enterprises to individual developers—to contribute to and expand within the broader Web3 ecosystem.
