After reaching an all-time high of $89.24 on November 5, 2021, the token saw a rapid sell-off. At press time, the price is 70.91% lower than its peak.

AR/USD Monthly Price Chart (CoinGecko)
Arweave’s token has been seeing some support at $30 after Irys, also known as Irys Network, launched its Layer 1 programmatic datachain. The platform is designed to integrate data storage and execution within a single platform.
Irys was founded in 2021 as Bundlr Network and began focusing on providing long-term storage solutions on Arweave. After changing its name and expanding its services, Irys now offers programmatic access to Arweave.
After reaching an all-time high of $89.24 on November 5, 2021, the Arweave token saw a rapid sell-off. At press time, the price is trading 70.91% lower than its peak.
A closer look at the Arweave price chart reveals that the token encountered resistance at $30 after Irys launched its Layer 1 programmatic datachain.
After showing some support at this level, the price began to decline, encountering the 50-day exponential moving average (EMA) at 29.66 and the 200-day EMA at 27.53. The higher 50-day average indicates stronger recent price trends compared to the longer-term average.
However, the moving average convergence divergence (MACD) value is −0.004276, suggesting that the shorter-term average (12-period EMA) is below the longer-term average (26-period EMA). This may indicate bearish momentum or weaker recent prices compared to the longer-term trend.
The magnitude of −0.004276 is relatively small, indicating a mild bearish momentum or a period of consolidation.
The Momentum (10) value is −4.8829821. Negative values indicate that the current price is lower than the price ten periods ago – by 4.8829821 units in this case. The larger the negative value, the stronger the downward momentum.
This negative momentum value suggests a bearish trend or selling pressure over the last ten periods. It indicates that the asset’s price has been decreasing. The specific number shows relatively strong negative momentum.
