Arkham Intelligence Integrates Dogecoin Into Its Analytics Platform, Expanding Its Network Support to 16

Crypto analytics firm Arkham Intelligence has announced the integration of Dogecoin (CRYPTO: DOGE) into its platform, offering advanced on-chain analytics capabilities to the meme-inspired cryptocurrency.

Highlighting the limited tools available to analyze the Dogecoin blockchain despite the coin's 11-year presence in the market, the team noted the importance of this move. With Arkham's features, users will now be able to visualize and monitor Dogecoin's blockchain activity, trace transactions, filter data, and set real-time alerts.

This addition expands Arkham's supported networks to 16, enabling Dogecoin users to examine specific wallet activity and monitor addresses linked to exchanges, funds, and prominent individuals in the crypto space.

Dogecoin's Cultural Footprint and Mainstream Adoption

Beyond the crypto realm, Dogecoin has also made its mark in popular culture. The coin, inspired by the Japanese Shiba Inu dog Kabosu — who passed away earlier this year — has achieved widespread recognition, according to Arkham.

The team also noted how the cryptocurrency has drawn attention from prominent figures such as Elon Musk, who briefly changed X's (formerly Twitter) logo to the Doge icon after acquiring the platform.

Moreover, Tesla began accepting Dogecoin as a payment method for merchandise, further enhancing its visibility in mainstream markets. Interestingly, the acronym DOGE now aligns with the U.S. Government's Department of Government Efficiency, a satirical nod to its cultural prominence.

Critical Vulnerability Leads to Node Collapse Claims

While Arkham is enhancing Dogecoin's analytical capabilities, the network recently encountered a vulnerability exploit.

Andreas Kohl, a Bitcoin sidechain developer, claimed to have disabled 69% of Dogecoin nodes in a hack, using a vulnerability named "DogeReaper" to halt the network. This flaw reportedly triggers a segmentation fault in the network's code, abruptly terminating the program when unauthorized memory is accessed.

However, despite the dramatic claims, the Dogecoin network remained operational, casting doubt on the accuracy of the report.

Mishaboar, a prominent member of the Dogecoin community, quickly refuted the developer's statement, clarifying that the DogeReaper vulnerability was identified two weeks prior and patched in a node update adopted by key participants like miners and exchanges.

Mishaboar also raised concerns regarding the data used to support the hack, noting that Blockchair's reported node drop — from 647 to 205 — was not comprehensive.
