Aptos [APT] has been on a downward trend since April, with price movements following a descending trendline since May.

Aptos (APT) has been trending lower since April, with the price action forming a descending trendline since May. On the daily chart, the APT/USDT pair has touched this trendline four times, facing rejection each time.
However, during the fourth touch, the price failed to drop to a lower low, hinting at a possible weakening of the bearish trend.
Moreover, a head and shoulders pattern has formed, which is commonly watched for price reversals if the neckline is broken and sustained above.
For APT to confirm the $4.30 level as the floor for the current cycle, the price must break and remain above the $7.50 level.
This could pave the way for a potential move up to or past $10 by the end of this year or early 2025, as suggested by further metrics.
Aptos adoption and TVL
Key metrics for Aptos show growing adoption. The Total Value Locked (TVL) in Aptos now stands at $439 million, ranking it 18th overall and 6th among non-EVM chains.
Aptos has quickly climbed the TVL ranks despite launching its mainnet in 2022, showcasing a strong market entry.
The TVL has remained stable amid price movements, indicating robust asset circulation and increasing trust in the platform.

Also, the stablecoin market cap on Aptos has been rising, reinforcing the narrative of increasing adoption and confidence.
Daily active users and transactions
Aptos ranks consistently among layer-1 blockchains in terms of daily active users, which have risen over the past 18 months, surpassing 200,000 daily.
This impressive figure places it 13th among all blockchains (layer-1 and layer-2). According to Aptos Explorer, the daily user transactions average 1 million.
While interpreting transactions can be nuanced, the high daily active user count attests to the significant activity levels on the network.
Transaction speed and scalability
Aptos boasts an average transaction speed of around 25 transactions per second (TPS), with peaks reaching as high as 12,000 TPS in the last 30 days.
It has demonstrated its scalability with record-breaking transaction volumes. In May, the network processed close to 100 million transactions in a single day.
Over four days, it handled 325 million transactions, maintaining over 2,000 TPS for more than 24 hours, peaking at nearly 5,000 TPS.
This performance highlights Aptos’s capability to handle high transaction volumes efficiently.
