Analyst Warns: Kaspa (KAS) Price Going to Zero? Here Are 2 Cryptos to Buy Instead
Feb 08, 2025 at 06:00 pm
The Kaspa price took a big hit during the most recent market crash. KAS lost around 35% of its value and also lost a long-term support and psychological level at $0.10.

A popular YouTuber has issued a stark warning about cryptocurrency Kaspa (KAS), predicting that it will eventually become worthless. In his recent video, the analyst pointed out several flaws in the project and suggested two alternative cryptos – SOLX and MIND – that might be better investment options.
The YouTuber, known as Jerry Banfield, has over 45,000 subscribers on his channel. In his latest video, he shared his thoughts on Kaspa, which has seen a recent surge in popularity among crypto enthusiasts. However, Banfield's perspective on the project is drastically different from the positive sentiments expressed by many others.
According to Banfield, Kaspa lacks any fundamental value and is destined for a price of zero. He highlighted several concerning aspects of the project, including the alleged use of bots on social media platforms to artificially inflate hype while simultaneously suppressing any critical viewpoints.
The analyst argues that even when Kaspa was trading at just $0.02, the project still failed to offer any solid fundamentals. Despite its current market cap of over $2 billion, Banfield claims that Kaspa's innovation pales in comparison to projects like Internet Computer Protocol (ICP), which boasts a larger development team and more advanced technology.
Banfield also expressed concerns over Kaspa's proof-of-work consensus mechanism, considering it outdated and accessible only to a select few with significant mining resources. He raised transparency concerns, noting that while Kaspa now displays six core developers, this number is small compared to larger blockchain projects with hundreds of developers.
Moreover, Banfield pointed out that Kaspa lacks smart contract capabilities and has very limited real-world transactions. He suggested that the project's initial token distribution favored early insiders through mining, which could lead to centralization concerns.
Finally, Banfield highlighted that Kaspa's 10-second transaction finality lags behind competitors, and its reliance on Layer 2 solutions could limit scalability.
In contrast to Kaspa, Banfield suggested two alternative cryptos that he believes might be worth considering for investment – Solaxy (SOLX) and Mind of Pepe (MIND). Both projects are currently offering tokens for purchase through presales.
Solaxy emerges as Solana's first Layer-2 blockchain, aiming to tackle network congestion by processing transactions off-chain. It works across both Solana and Ethereum networks, utilizing Ethereum's established DeFi ecosystem for enhanced scalability.
The project's native token, SOLX, handles network fees and value transfer within the ecosystem. Currently in presale, Solaxy has attracted nearly $20 million in funding, with token prices adjusting upward every 48 hours.
Mind of Pepe represents a fresh entry in the meme coin space, following Wall Street Pepe's successful $70 million fundraise. This AI-powered crypto project has secured $5.4 million in its ongoing presale since January.
The platform leverages social media analysis to identify emerging trends, offering these insights exclusively to $MIND token holders. It features an AI agent capable of interacting with dApps and managing blockchain transactions, aiming to provide data-driven market intelligence to retail investors. So, arguably, Mind of Pepe has even stronger utility than Wall Street Pepe that's breaking records in presale numbers.
