6 Altcoins That Outperformed Bitcoin (BTC) and Ether (ETH) in August

Seven cryptocurrencies that outperformed bitcoin in March include Toncoin (TON), Brett (Based) (BRETT), Kaspa (KAS), Tron (TRX), Monero (XMR), Tether Gold (XAUT), and Ethereum Name Service (ENS).

Toncoin, the native cryptocurrency of the Telegram Open Network, saw a significant 18% increase, rising to $7.82. This surge is likely driven by the interest in Telegram's entry into the blockchain space.

BRETT, a lesser-known cryptocurrency, experienced a remarkable 39% surge, reaching $0.1463. While the specific reason for this increase is unclear, it could be related to developments within the BRETT ecosystem.

Privacy-focused cryptocurrency Kaspa continued its uptrend, rising by 16% to reach $0.174. This coin, which prioritizes anonymity and security, may appeal to investors seeking alternatives to more established cryptocurrencies.

Tron, a blockchain platform known for its smart contracts and dApps, saw a 13% increase, bringing its current value to $0.1288. Tron's stability and ongoing development make it a strong contender in this space.

Monero, a privacy coin, outperformed some competitors in this sector with a 5% rise over 30 days, reaching $166.09. Monero's strong anonymity features make it attractive for those prioritizing transactional confidentiality.

Tether Gold, a stablecoin pegged to the price of gold, saw a minimal 0.96% increase, reaching $2,352.23. This stablecoin provides exposure to gold on a cryptocurrency platform.

Finally, Ethereum Name Service, which provides human-readable blockchain domain names, saw a slight 4% rise, reaching $26.98. Despite the modest growth, ENS fulfills a specific role in the crypto space by facilitating easy-to-remember blockchain addresses.
