4 Altcoins That Could Explode During the Next Altcoin Season
Aug 17, 2024 at 12:06 am
While Bitcoin is busy with its attempt to reclaim $60k levels, attention is now turning to altcoins, which offer potential for big gains.

As Bitcoin attempts to regain the $60k level, traders are shifting their attention to altcoins, which present the potential for substantial gains. Here's a closer look at some coins on an analyst's radar, combining established players and emerging contenders with their own narratives:
1. XRP (XRP)
Currently trading at $0.57 with a market cap of $32 billion, XRP holds a significant presence in the market. As Ripple continues to forge partnerships with banks both domestically and internationally, XRP could emerge as a standard for financial transactions.
2. Litecoin (LTC)
Known as the "Underrated OG," Litecoin has been in the game for a long time, often likened to the silver to Bitcoin's gold. While it reached a high of $412 in 2021, the analyst believes it has the potential to soar even higher, possibly reaching $1,000 or more.
3. Terra Luna Classic (LUNC)
Despite its ups and downs, Terra Luna Classic is a coin that the analyst still believes has a lot of potential. With recent upgrades and a market cap that once soared to $2 billion, LUNC has shown that it can make big moves when least expected. As we head into a new altcoin season, this coin bears watching.
4. Cronos (CRO)
Cronos, the native token of the Crypto.com ecosystem, is the final pick on the list. Due to its deep integration with the Crypto.com platform, CRO has always been a key part of my portfolio. Given Crypto.com's continued growth and potential future burns, the analyst anticipates CRO rising to $2, $3, or even $4.
Conclusion:
When Bitcoin broke above its previous all-time high in 2013, it took around 180 days (about six months) before the altcoin season really kicked off. During that time, Bitcoin continued to rise with no altcoin season in sight. The key takeaway here is that the 2017 altcoin season only lasted about two months. It might seem counterintuitive, but the best time to prepare for such a season is to buy before it begins.
